Introduction

30 years in leadership including banking, consumer and the last decade in PE backed businesses. Roles included Chief Revenue Officer, Chief People Officer and Managing Director International. Have led teams of several hundred to teams of 20. Very much consider myself as a leadership practitioner and not a guru (despite the books!)....as I have the scars, bruises and several successes to show for the journey and not just theory. In recent years, aside from a couple of fractional assignments, after having 2 books published, I have pursued my passion for working with leadership teams and helping them with the methodology and frameworks I developed a few years back, Leadership SUCCESS Engineering™️. It's effectively an 'operating system' for leadership rather than reliance on personality, promises or similar! I continue to work with mid-sized organisations and unlike most leadership development, I spend more time on implementation and accountability to execute the plans with the delegates, than I do in the classroom. That's when the real growth and ROI occurs. This work has also introduced me to a few 121 coaching situations with CEOs and I enjoy these as well. Fractional? Well in past 2 assignments, I signed up to help for 2 days a week for 3 months. One lasted a year! One turned into a perm role....so I must have added some value? I lean heavily towards revenue, sales and general leadership effectiveness and therefore feel I could help most businesses grappling with challenges in this space.

Key Achievements

Transformed a key commercial division (220 staff across 4 geographies) under PE control, growing revenue performance by 68% in 24 months, to help facilitate a trade acquisition in excess of expected multiples. Led the integration of three separate PE entities into a single combined 'bank' (Tandem) in the heavily regulated sector of UK banking. Led the people transformation of 700 employees into a single 'one bank' business with a specific focus on 'go to market' strategy, leadership effectiveness at all levels, and several key enablers linked to culture, incentives and costs. Published 2 books on the theme of 'success' and keynoted on several stages, including internationally. In recent times, worked with several organisations on leadership effectiveness and delivered significant ROI post 100 day 'execution' timetable.
