The idea behind Find Your Fractional

Find Your Fractional was built on a simple principle:

 

Do the right thing, and build something fair.

I didn’t want to create another volume-driven platform. I wanted to create a trusted one.

That’s why:

  • Everyone on the platform is personally spoken to
  • Experience is validated, including references where appropriate
  • Qualifications are transparent (not assumed, not hidden)
  • People aren’t forced into exclusivity
  • Testimonials belong to the fractional, not the platform

 

 

If someone says they’ve operated as an FD, CMO, HR Director or COO – business owners should be able to trust that statement .

 

 

Why this isn’t just about finance?

 

Originally, I considered building something just for Finance Directors.

 

But over time, it became obvious that growing businesses don’t have one problem – they have several, at different points in their journey.

 

Finance, marketing, sales, operations, people, systems – they’re all connected.

 

Recruiters struggle in this space because placing someone one day a week takes almost as much effort as placing someone five days a week. Independence is great, but isolation isn’t.

 

So Find Your Fractional brings together cross-functional senior operators, not just finance, and focuses on collaboration rather than competition .

 

A regional focus (on purpose)

 

Another key difference: we’re not trying to cover everywhere, all at once.

 

We are starting with Yorkshire and the North West because:

  • I know the market
  • I know the people
  • I know what growing businesses here actually need

 

That local focus means:

  • Better matches
  • Better relationships
  • Better outcomes

 

Scale will come later – but only when it makes sense .

 

More than a platform

 

Long-term, Find Your Fractional isn’t just a matching service.

 

It’s about:

  • Community
  • Shared standards
  • Peer support
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Giving fractionals confidence, not just contracts

 

 

Why now?

 

Fractional leadership isn’t a trend – it’s a response to how businesses actually grow.

 

The old models are being stretched. The demand is there. But the structure hasn’t caught up yet.

 

Find Your Fractional is my attempt to fix that – properly, fairly, and with the long term in mind.

 

Because the right person, at the right time, really can change the game.

 

And doing it all yourself?

 

That’s not a long-term strategy.
